StuckIt was a BEAUTIFUL day on the mountain. I will admit I was nervous with Friday having been such an adventure.  When I dropped off lunch for the guys on the hill, I kept my numb fingers crossed that Saturday would be better - Way to go you guys for sticking it out!!  Movin RocksAfter Friday's stormy weather of rain showers and cold wind, a day of sunshine was welcomed!  We had a great turn out, with some of the Mendo Club members and non-members, Alan & friends from Santa Rosa 4x4, and a third of our club!  Harrison and I made it up in the afternoon for lunch, and hung around to watch the equipment push rocks around.  Mike & Theresa picked up EIGHT bags of garbage - Way to go guys!  I'd like to see us all pick up a little trash while we're up there.  Who needs to wait for a clean-up day?!?!

 Jim
shovels I was happy to see that the cold weather on Friday didn't scare Jim Stuart away, who had his hands frozen to the CAT's handles on Friday.&nbs p; Jim was alive and thawed on Saturday, and back for more!  He and James continued the renovations to one of the obstacles at the playground, and then moved on to work down at the bottom of the hill.  Gary, Dwight, Rick, the Jerrys, Aage, and Richard were all pretty handy with chainsaws and shovels.  Rick did make the sacrifice of trying out some of the renovations (I'm sure he kicked and screamed all the way to the steering wheel), and I loved watching DWhite turn five different shadesRickbefore settling with white on one of the more challenging obstacles.  No, Dwight, you may not exit the vehicle at any time during this ride.  We took some photos, which RichardI will hopefully post to the website.  The new obstacles look great!  When we had left on Saturday, the guys were trying out the "new" trail, and Rick Reis was very sucessful on one of the more difficult climbs.  I was pretty disappointed that James wouldn't let me bring his Jeep up the hill to play.   He kept saying something about not letting me break it before Johnson Valley, or something like that.
Thanks again for all of your hard work!  I thought it was great that everyone stayed busy, worked together and found things to do even during those slow times.

RocksJerry Bullard - Thanks for lunch Saturday, and more importantly, Thanks for bringing this project to our club.  This has been a very positive experience, and I'm so glad that our club could be a part of it.  There has been so much work done on the hill in the past, and so many people have given their time & sweat to making it a better place.  It's nice to know that our club can be a part of that continued legacy.

mendoI'm really glad we were a part of this project, and I hope to see us continue our efforts to make cow a fun place to play.  Think of how fantastic it is that we have a playground that could soon make Holister look like an RC track - and all in our backyard!!  Thank you everyone for supporting this project, and please keep in mind that there are many more things we'd like to do up there.  I hope we can continue this positive relationship and work with Jim Brown and the Mendo Club to make our loJamescal trails more fun!

THANKS GUYS!!!
