On Sunday April 18th 10 of our member families participated in the 4 Wheel Parts Fun Run at Cow Mountian. The event would not have been a success if it were not for the participation of our club. We helped in many ways some of the dutties included registration, handing out the goodie bags, trail leaders and cooking a whole bunch of food. Speaking of food it wasn’t just hot dogs and burgers like originally promissed. My buddy Rip from 4 wheel Parts brought about 20 Pork tenderloins and 120 Adielle sausages. We ate pretty good all day long.

Those running a trail headed out about 11 am and returned around 1-2 pm. During lunch we had a little excitement or should I say our leader Mike did as he was questioned by the Ranger as to what was going on. When the ranger arrived we were in full swing of cooking and many of those in attendance had returned from there run. Mike told the ranger that he was cooking for 200 of his closest friends.  Apparentlythose who had been camping at the Red Mountian campground had left a lot of garbage and two campfires burning, that did not make the ranger happy.  He finally left the playground and took refuge on a hill with his spotting scope just waiting for someone to do something wrong. To my knowledge he didn’t catch anyone doing anything they shouldn’t be doing.

After lunch there was a free raffle which included $700 in gift certificates a winch and a lot of other prizes.

Once the raffle concluded the event was over and once again the WCRC helped out by cleaning up. In fact we picked up a lot of trrash from the area that was there prior to the event.

After clean up we all went home.

Thanks again for all those that helped to make this a great success.

I heard four wheel Parts was handed a stack of tickets for having an event without a permit.
